THE JOURNEY EXPERIENCE

Not a Session.

A Sanctuary.

A psilocybin journey at Micro Healing Center is a carefully held, clinically-supported experience, guided by a licensed facilitator, and built around your safety at every stage.

Psilocybin has been studied at some of the most respected institutions in the world. The outcomes aren't anecdotal — they're published, peer-reviewed, and significant enough to drive legislative change in Colorado.

71%

of participants in a Johns Hopkins trial showed significant reduction in major depressive disorder after two psilocybin sessions

83%

of cancer patients in an NYU study reported reduced death anxiety at six-month follow-up

0

Recorded lethal dose in humans. Psilocybin has no known physical dependence profile and is classified as non-addictive

Why researchers are
paying attention

THE SCIENCE

What it does in the brain

Psilocybin temporarily quiets the Default Mode Network — the part of the brain responsible for the relentless loop of self-referential thinking, rumination, and entrenched narrative. This creates a window of neuroplasticity: a moment where long-held patterns become available for change. Researchers describe it as pressing a "reset" on the brain's most rigid circuitry.

Why the container changes everything

The research is consistent. Outcomes are not determined by the medicine alone. They are determined by set and setting: your mindset going in, and the quality of the environment and support around you. This is why preparation, the physical sanctuary, and integration sessions are not optional add-ons at our center. They are the clinical foundation the experience is built on.

The Colorado framework

Colorado Proposition 122 created a regulated pathway for psilocybin services. The same scientific evidence that drove Hopkins and NYU's trials informed the legislation. Our center is fully licensed under that framework. Every facilitator who works here holds a state-issued license and meets Colorado's clinical training requirements.

YOUR JOURNEY

Three phases.
One continuous arc.

A journey experience at the Micro Healing Center is not a single afternoon. It is a structured, three-part process and we hold the container through all of it.

Preparation

Before your journey day, you'll meet with your licensed facilitator for preparation sessions. This is where we establish trust, explore your intentions, review your health history, and discuss what to expect. You don't arrive at your journey as a stranger to the process — you arrive ready.

2 SESSIONS INCLUDED

The Journey

Your journey day takes place inside our clinical sanctuary — a purpose-designed space with soft lighting, sound-buffered rooms, and every comfort considered. Your facilitator is present throughout the full session (5–8 hours), holding the container as you move through the experience. You are never alone.

5-8 HRS. FULLY SUPPORTED

Integration

What surfaces during a journey requires space to process. Your integration session, held in the days following, is where meaning is made. Your facilitator helps you translate insight into action — and ensures what emerged has somewhere to land. This is where the healing work continues.

1 SESSION INCLUDED

Why all three phases matter: The research is clear — a psilocybin experience without adequate preparation and integration is a lost opportunity. At the Micro Healing Center, the full arc is the standard of care, not an upgrade. Your package includes every stage because we don't separate the experience from the support that makes it meaningful.

THE CLINICAL SANCTUARY

Where you land matters

Set and setting is not a concept we borrow from research. It is the design principle behind every square foot of our center.

Dedicated Journey Rooms

Private, purpose-designed spaces with temperature control, blackout capacity, and intentional sensory calibration. Soft light. Quiet. Comfort essentials provided. Nothing clinical about the look, everything clinical about the standard.

Clinical Supervision On-site

Our center maintains peer clinical oversight for every journey session. This is part of what our Handler support provides: not just logistical care, but a trained presence holding the broader container of your experience.

Licensed Facilitators

Every facilitator who practices here holds a Colorado state license and carries their own liability coverage as an additional insured under our policy. You are not with a guide. You are with a credentialed professional.

Security & Confidentiality

Our facility meets Colorado's licensed premises security requirements. Your session and your presence here is private. We take the trust required to show up for healing work seriously.

"The science of set and setting is not metaphor. It is mechanism. The container shapes the outcome. That is what we are here to provide."

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your experience, demystified

Clarity before you arrive is part of the care. Here is what a journey experience at Micro Healing Center looks like in practice.

Before your journey day

After scheduling, you'll complete a health history intake and connect with your facilitator for two preparation sessions. These conversations cover your intentions, your history, what to expect during the experience, and how to support yourself leading up to the day. Dietary and lifestyle guidance may be shared. You'll know your facilitator and they'll know you before the journey begins.

Arriving at the Center

You'll arrive at our Westminster location to a space that has been prepared for you. Our Handler will orient you to the room, ensure your comfort needs are met, and confirm that everything is in place. There is no rushed intake. The session begins when you are ready.

During the journey session

The experience typically spans 5–8 hours. You may lie down, sit, move, rest, or simply be. Your facilitator remains present throughout, not intervening, but holding the container. Music, lighting, and temperature are all modulated to your comfort. You will not be left alone at any point during the active session.

What can emerge

Experiences vary significantly from person to person. Many people report a sense of expanded perspective, emotional release, or a profound shift in relationship to patterns they've carried for years. Some sessions are quiet. Some are deeply interior. All of it is held. Your facilitator is trained to support whatever arises.

After the experience

You'll rest and reorient at the center before departing. We ask that you have a trusted person available to be with you that evening and that you avoid driving yourself home. Your integration session, scheduled in the days following, is where you'll begin to process and make meaning of what surfaced.

The integration session

Often the most quietly significant part of the arc. Your facilitator holds space for you to reflect on what the experience brought forward and to identify how you want to carry it. This is not debrief. This is healing work in its own right.

Is this for you?

Psilocybin services are not appropriate for everyone and we mean that as a statement of care, not a barrier. The screening process exists to protect you.

A journey experience may be a meaningful fit if you are:

  • Navigating treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, or grief and seeking a new pathway

  • A functioning adult seeking deeper self-understanding or perspective on persistent patterns

  • Processing a significant life transition — loss, identity, meaning, or major change

  • Working alongside a therapist or existing care team and seeking a complementary modality

  • An out-of-state visitor who has done their research and is ready to engage in the full arc

  • Someone who has the support system, the time, and the intention to do this well
